    Tuesday 4th March

Today, I’m furious. Blodin has destroyed villages all around the land and now he has burned my village then turned all my friends to slaves or ash. He destoryed my home where I grew up and filled the sky with black chockey smoke. Having watched my town burn to the ground, I swear that I will kill Blodin. I could still hear the screaming and shouting as I headed up to the cold mountains.

    Tuesday 4th march

I can’t believe my eyes Blodin has wrecked my village and the people who I care about.
I can’t believe what I have just seen. As soon as Blodin came up the hill my village became black, the sky was like chalk.
People were screaming. As soon as the sky went black I could smell the fear, my heart was beating as fast as a cheater! Then Blodin cursed them so they did whatever Blodin told them to do. Blodin, the scary beast, shouted to the villagers to bow down!!

I am dreading what is going to happen next!!

    4th March

Today, I’ve seen my village destroded by Blodin the Beast!! He’s destroyed my world, but not my dream, that I want to be forfilled! The thick, black, loomy smoke made everybody in the village cough and splutter, as the sun turned black in the morning sky. I felt very upset about Blodin destroying my village and killing all my friends. How is Shanga? What is over this mountain?

    7th March

Today, the sun rised for once. I looked behind at the trees and bushes all over this land, with large thing’s and very small things too. They all sit and stare at me couriously. Is Blodin still alsleep? Do these thing’s want to eat me? What will happen tomorrow?

Shanga has just given me a special carpet. He told me to defeat Blodin the beast. But, what if Blodin comes and kills Shanga; should I go or should I not? I shall go and defeat Blodin, not for me but, for Shanga. The sky is now going dusty and turning black. It feels like I’m not far away from the beast (Blodin). I’m feeling nervous and terrified . Good job I’ve got you to comfort me diary! I am now rolling out the special carpet ready to go to sleep. What will come tomorow?…

I’m scared that something is going to happen to Shanga. For all these years he felt like a dad to me.Blodin the beast has destroyed my village,my home town and he will pay.It was dramatic, the sun was there all a sudden , then Blodin turned the sky grey with smoke, next minute gone another village torn apart!
All I could see was ashes everywhere.I thought why?
I smelt lots of oil spreding on the ground,I looked upon the mountains, shanga gave me a magic carpet but I don’t know how to use it yet!
I don’t want to leave shanga all alone, but he told me to leave him so then I could escape from Blodin.
I wonder what the future has in stall !

It was not fair that I had to go and leave Shanga behind. I wonder what will happen to my friends? I was praying for Shanga to come with me to this land of peace but I he says he is too old.

    Tuesday 4th March

As soon as I walked out of the cave I saw the evil monster destroying the village; the place that I love; the place I grow up in. My stomach lurched and my heart twisted as I saw my village being burned to smithereens. Old Shanga, my closest friend, the person I think of as my dad, stumbled out of the cave and gave me a mysterious carpet. He says it will protect me on my journey. It smelt like old Shanga’s cloak. I sobbed and fell into Shanga’s arms begging him to come with me but he is too old to travel such a long way. I left for my journey leaving Shanga at the mouth of the cave.

    Tusday 4th March

I have seen a terrible thing today. Bursts of fire burning houses, people fleeing for their lives. What’s next?! Shanga has given me a carpet full of happines with all the world. All the villagers have bowed down to Blodin, should have I? I am scared what is going to happen to Shanga, my closet friend. I can hear all the villagers digging for oil while Shanga is mummbling in his head. All I can see is loads of mountain tops everywhere. As a tear falls from my eye I feel sorry for every one.

    Tuesday 4th march.

    Dear diary,
What am I going to do? All my friends have become servants for Blodin the beast! This morning we could not see the sun because of his thick black smoke filling through the air. Shanga wants to stay where he is and who he is. He doesn’t want to be a servant to that stupid beast but hasn’t he strength to join me on my journey.

As the day went on I was feeling really scared as Blodin the beast blew more thick black smoke through the air. Shanga sat in his big dark cave and explained that I need to trust him. He wants me to leave for the river. I’m scared.

    Dear Diary…
Today, Shanga sent me to the mountains (on my own) to destroy Blodin the beast. I wondered how all my friends were coping with being Blodins slaves? Shanga gave me a carpet aswell today, he said it would protect me but it hasen’t done anything for me yet! When I think back of my town all I can remember is thick black smoke and flames flickering on the ground from Blodin the evil beast. It’s a horrible memory to remember. How I wish Shanga was here with me trying to defeat blodin! I feel so alone…

I saw Blodin destroy my village. It was the the village i was born in. How could he just come into my village and destroy it, just how could he?! Shanger told me that i needed to go and destroy Blodin. He said i might die but i must be brave. He also said
that the carpet would protect me.

I was born in this village and I will be slave for the rest of my life unless we defeat this evil beast. I need to think of something to get out of this disaster. When Blodin breaths out his smokey breathe it chokes me. I just want to kill him. Shaga gave me a carpet. He says it will protect me on my journey but I’m not so sure. I have to just trust what he says.

    Diary of Blodin the beast

    Dear Diary
Another day; another village razed to ruins! I came stalking over the mountain, blocking out the sun with my intense, blazing, fierce fire, as usual. Consequently, about 200 of them scrawny, pathetic begins ran off to the mountains. Fools. Don’t they know how mad they are?! The mountains extend forever!

I set up a new oil complex today diary. Even as I write this I’m drinking fresh oil, dug by fresh slaves!

However, before I got brand new oil, there was a pathetic, suicidal attempt to knock me down! Idiots, don’t they know in that fight there would be two hits- me hitting them & them hammering into the floor!

Got to go now diary, I really need some sleep.

  •   stock // Jan 18th 2008 at 11:30 am

    Blodin’s diary.

    A day of fire,

Today I had a wonderful time; scorching the new town I told you about last week! Some got killed but sadly, most of them got away. Of course, there were the stupid few, who thought they could ‘destroy’ me, that hit me with their puny swords, but of course, I blew them away. I wonder how much oil ‘I’ would have collected once those idiots start working tomorrow. They wouldn’t stand a chance getting away with none – I’d burn them to ashes!
Gotta go now, my human’s getting cold…

    Hosea’s Diary.

    Was tortured, now joyful,

Today was the most exiting day of my life! My heart pounded with joy, as I entered the dream world – a land of peace and plenty. If you want to know about the carpet; I rode across it (strangely enough) on the wide, green river. Luckily, the burning flames scolded him, making Blodin drown. And so, it was a painful death. As I was saying, these kind, gentle people guided me to the centre, showing me everything I needed to know. I wonder where Shanga is? The only problem here, is that Shanga isn’t here to enjoy the beautifulness. I need to go now diary- it’s time to help set up dinner wow!!!!

    Dear diary,

I think I’m quickly running out of puny slaves to dig my oil. Incredibly, today’s village actually put up a fight; of course I Burnt every single one of them wining them easily. Starting to feel a little sorry for them – so I put them out of their misery… I burnt them to ashes! However, two people managed to escape to the mountains – I must find them! When I do, I’ll torture them make them dig my oil and then…scorch them, no one can stop me now!!!

    Hosea’s diary

    Dear diary,

I had an exciting day today; you’ll never guess what I did? I went to see that man with the carpet (Shanga). I’ve promised him I’ll stay with him to the end. Furthermore, the deluded old fool was still weaving his stupid carpet; It will be burnt to the ground along with Shanga anyway. He said thers more than just wool in the carpet – he’s losing his marbles.

    Diary of Blodin the Beast

    Dear Diary,
There are going to be no villagers left! I think that there won’t be as much fun in my future; there’ll be nothing to scorch! Although today went perfectly. It was fantastic, in fact! They bowed down pretty much straight away, though a few went to the mountains, (and a small group tried to fight. But they were just a pile of ashes before they’d even laid puny, miniscule finger on me).

Now I shall roam the mountains looking for oil; and, of course, the other lost souls.
    Good scorching,
    Blodin

    Diary of Hosea

    Dear Diary,
Today was just a terrible world of dismay! I sauntered through the desert, anxious but ambitious. To be honest, I was presumptuous in the fact that the colossal Beast would seek me and navigate to where I was. I shouted for Shanga “Help me Shanga!!!”, but, of course, there was no answer. Oh, how I wished he could of come with me. Anyway, I must now complete my quest!

    Dear diary
    Today was astonishing!
    The amount of people I killed and how many houses I destroyed was incredible. So many people tried to kill me (they failed) not a spear can pierce my thick skin;
    Not even a sword!

Apparently there is this boy who is stronger than me (not for long) I can’t wait to find him and make him my slave; if he refuses I will scorch him to death!
Whoever thinks they can fight me must be mad!
    I AM BLODIN THE GREAT!

I have nearly invaded all the villagers in the country!
I think I’m going to have to move, I mean it!
Anyway I better be going it’s getting late. I will update you later!

    Another day; another village gone!

I think I’ve almost finished all the villages around – cool!-sorry… Dig that oil you! Those stupid villagers just stop running sometimes, so I have to keep them going.

I’ve had the most excellent day today, I’ve got at least sixty new slaves! But a few little brats ran away while I nodded off, crafty they are (but not as crafty as me!) Right, I’ve got to get back to my employees, they’ll become slack, unprofessional, lazy and sloppy. Bye

    Dear Mr Diary,

I think I’m sat in the only scrap of shade in miles. I’m drenched in sweat; I can taste it as it’s dripping down my nose. This impractical, stupid, daft mat just exhausts me, dragging it along day-by-day. I’ve got a few problems I, don’t know if you could help Mr. D: What do I eat? What do I drink? And how do I keep myself cool?!

Today one enormous snake came up to me. I could see the evilness in his eyes. But, quite strangely, he went. I said to my self “but how?” I scratched my head in thought it felt sweaty. Err! Bye for now Mr. D,

Not surprisingly exhaustion is running round my body.

    Dear Diary,
I stepped into the heart of the forest my hairs on the back of my neck stud up like a soldier in salute. A slight breeze caught the side of my ear carefully, I looked over my shoulder; eyes encircled me! Eventually Lions, Leopards and Bears appeared! I walked backwards I shivered to the bear bone. When I heard Shangas voice ,I felt relived safe and not alone when he spoke “Use the carpet!” A spicy taste lead my mouth ; I rolled out my carpet and all the animals fled.

    Dear Diary,
Guess where I’ve been today. You’ll never guess. I was about to flee into the mountains this morning but I went to see Shanga first, you know the silly old fool that wants to stay, I told him he has been like a father to me- I couldn’t let him die alone. I promised I would stay.

He seemed to be a lot more deluded than usual today; he was weaving his ‘carpet’, he talking about his ‘carpet’, in fact he didn’t mention anything else.

It still hasn’t been finished though, the ludicrous ninny told me there was more than wool in it, whatever that means. Perched silently on the rocky floor of his cave, Shanga told me I had to do as he alleged, when Blodin came consequently, I replied with yes. I’m nervous about telling the others though, there going to think I’m barmy.

Today was supernatural, I defeated Blodin the Beast! I felt great. I could just hear the roar of him dying down to the thick, black, smoky water. As I gazed, I knew he was a goner. I waited till he was dead then all of a sudden, my surroundings changed to a lovely flowery meadow. Then I ran to the top of the hill. I thought it was great, as I saw my family again and said “blodin has been defeated!”

    Dear Diary,

Today has been very confusing, I was going off to the never ending mountains with the rest of the village because we heard that beast(Blodin) was coming to our town everyone was terrified so that’s why I was going to go but that fool Shanga said he was going to stay. So as every one was going to say goodbye I asked him if he was going to want some company he said yes and he said I was brave. What will I have to do for him? Anyway I feel silly because all he’s doing is weaving how does he expect to kill blodin with a carpet?. Later on I asked him he said there’s more than wool in the carpet I mean what more could go in? Thursday 17th January 2008

Today was one of the scariest days of my journey so far, fear pounced on my spine as I entered the mysterious, murky jungle. I tried to be brave as I looked at the fearsome animals; lions growled and eagles lunge over my head. I could feel the wet, green leaves on my arms and legs as I crept round the shrewd creatures.

Suddenly, the loud trumpet of an elephant made me jump – it was as loud as Wimberley stadium. I thought that id never make it out of the jungle, luckly I made it out.

I felt the crumbling sand flying in my face; the sun beamed down on my bare neck, turning it red, I was bait for the horrid man eating scorpions, about 200 of them, but none pierced my skin.

I struggled trough the sand storm like a slug trying to run through concrete. I could taste the sun burning away at the earth but I Hosea did not give up. I could here the ant eggs cracking under the deep sand. Where you would disappear forever!

    Blodin’s Diary

    Dear Diary

It’s been a roaring a day today, I’ve been puffing up thick, black smoke and burning villagers to ashes - ooo it was a tremendous feeling when you kill people! I found the last village, hiding in the mountains, some of the villagers tried to get me off my feet, kicking and stabbing me with swords - stupid fools they can’t defeat me, I am the greatest, aarh, aarh, aarh! More than 10,000, the villages have been digging my oil; I’ve caught a few people trying to run away up to the mountains, so I burnt then to ashes. I’m incredibly worried about the number of villages left in the mountains, because I burnt all of them to smithereens.

Anyway, got to go now diary, more scorching to do and killing to do! BYE

    The diary of Hosea

    Dear loved companion
Today I felt very apprehensive. I Hosea crossed the desert of dunes.

Fearing that Blodin would find me ,I ran and my heart nearly burst the while I sprinted down the biggest dune yet. Once I had reached the bottom ,I looked into my sachel but no food or water lay there like the day befor.

    Hosea’s diary

    Wednesday 26th

    Dear diary,

Today has been great but confusing. You’ll never guess why? Well, it was only this morning when I defeated Blodin the beast by leading him to the green river. You should have seen me diary. When blodin did drown I said” Bye, bye dirty beast”, and I felt my stomach start to erupt in excitement!

Then, with out any notice, shangars voice tolled me to put the colourful calypso carpet onto the water and it would take me to a land of peace and plenty

    Blodins Diary

Today I destroyed yet another village. Some of them tried to kill me with their swords and sticks. They couldn’t hurt a fly. Do they really think they can kill me?

When I got closer to the village some ran up to the mountains. I’m going to find them tomorrow. They think they can get away from the fearsome, frightening. Well no they can not.

Some of the villagers bowed down to me as soon as I came. I decided to make them my “employees “.

    Anyway got to go bye.

    10/12/96

Today I found the last remaining. Those puny little men tried knocking me off my feat with spears and swords; however, I burnt their houses to the ground. I ‘asked’ the miniscule men to work for me. The sun was shining as it should until killed it with my smoke. One imbecile attempted to hurt me; I scorched his little legs off!

Got to go more scorching to do

    Bye

I went to investigate by now the fox was gone luckly the driverwas not injured but he was shakeing with fear, the car was
smashed and the tree was dinted, I saw smoke coming from the car I told the driver to get back after that I called the fire brigade and abulance the car had an oil leak and the driver had whiplash.
