Diaries

February 4th, 2008 · No Comments

In literacy we have been writing diaries about a story called The Windmill. It’s about two boys called Andrew and David. Their family is called the Dolton Family so they are called the Dolton Brothers. The boys went to stay with their grandad’s friend’s farm where they’d been lots of times before. The old man, Old Rusty, had bright red hair but he only had one leg but in the story it said he used a cruch like a second leg  .He also looked after goats.  He had a massive goat farm then the council decided to build a Windmill on the farm. Rusty didn’t like technology he thought the windmill was a bad idea but they built it anyway.  The boys were worried about the caves they liked playing in.  They put three wings on the windmill and when the boys woke up they saw that there was a fourth wing on the Windmill.  It looked like a space ship or a giant bat wing or a wasp wing.

Writing Week in Y5

January 18th, 2008 · No Comments

From 14th January to 18th January it has been Writing Week at SJS. The theme of writing week has been Blodin the beast by Michel Morporgo. We have done a broadcast about the book, a postcard to Shanga who is a character and in other year groups children have made an ending to the book before reading the real ending.

Writing Week in Year 4

January 18th, 2008 · No Comments

During writing week in Year 4 we have been writing our own stories based on a picture book called Blodin the Beast. We had to pick a name for our characters then pick what Hosea (the little boy) took with him on his journey through the mountains, the jungle and the desert. We also had to figure out what equipment to use to destroy the monster. We had early literacy lessons and extra literacy lessons all to try and finish our story of Blodin the beast. Thankfully Miss S was on hand to help us improve our sentences.

Year 3 Bugs

November 28th, 2007 · No Comments

This week we have started looking at poetry and our very first literacy lesson was with Miss W in the ICT suite.  We looked at a poem called Bug Chant and had to record it using Audacity.  I was in a group with Jack and Callum from yellow group and Katie from red group.  We split up the verses and practised a few times to check we knew who was reading what.

Have a listen to our very first recording.  Next time, I think we need to ask everyone in the background to be very quiet!

 bug-chant.mp3

I had great fun recording my voice even though I sound wierd!  I’m looking forward to writing my own verses for Bug Chant next week.

Newspapers

Our class Y4S have been learning about newspaper reports.  We have learned where things go and how to write a newspaper report.  In ICT we wrote a report about Cinderella running away from the ball.  My headline says ‘Mystery Beauty leaves Prince Heartbroken’.  We have also been making a newspaper ourselves by using word art to make the title, and coloumns fo the report.  We also inserted a picture.

When I got to work I parked in a disappointing parking place Typical miles away from the door! when I eventually got in I found the boss was a sleep so I read a magazine all day. when he got up at the end of my shift he said nothing and carried on.And I thought today would be boring!!!

The Diary of Humpty Dumpty

September 28th, 2007 · Comments Off

29th September 2007

Dear diary,

Today was the worst day of my life! I had to pretend to be a stupid egg who sits on a wall and falls off- I mean, please, who would believe that an egg falls off a wall into several pieces? But for the sake of my job, I fell off the wall- it hurt so much i cried like a baby for ages, I hate my job!

I had been sent to spy on the King’s horses and men- out of all the spies in the agency why me, everyone else always has easy jobs, I’m always stuck with the top secret missions! The King’s men came down the street to help me- it was nothing dramatic, it looked like they were having a leisurely stroll down the road.If I’d seen anything like that I’d be down the road in a flash!

By lunchtime I laid injured in a hospital bed. My body was in pieces (literally) and i was in terrible pain! The King’s men couldn’t care less that I was ill. They started whispering - maybe it’s their plan to take over the world, I don’t know, it could be couldn’t it?

Well now I’m laying here- I still hate my job! I’m still ill- and nobody cares about me! Today has been very eventful- I wonder what tomorrow will bring. For now goodbye!

You’ll never guess what I did today, I went to James’s eparment and then we went shoplifting! Wicked. We didn’t steal much though because the police turned up at the last minute so we let the staff go and legged it before we got arrested! By the time I got home earlier this evening I went to the chinese just down the road because I couldn’t be bovered to cook and I was so hungry I ate my dinner in minutes. At about eleven’o'clock I was getting tired but I was trying to stay awake as long as possible so I went for a drive in my brand new monster truck.

Dear Diary,

Sorry diary I know you’ve heard it before but today started like every other day(oh I hate those snooze buttons).Slowly, I plodded down the decrepit, half broken stairs.Oi mother whats for breakfast. It was bran flakes…again.Suddenly remembering that today was tag-rugby day at the park, with one hand in my pocket,I lobbed my breakfast at the wall.

Hastily, I sprinted up the stairs to get dressed. The only thing left in my wardrobe was that stupid green sweater nan knitted me last Christmas, I shoved it on and went for my escape.I silently crept down-stairs ‘creak’ stupid step gets me every time.

Dear Diary

Friday 3th July 2000

You’ll never guess what happened today? Woke up this morning in a bad mood. Smashed my alarm clock because it woke me up to early. It all changed when I got a phone call( as usual it was my friends).

I went to investigate a mystery, like I always do, sometimes I get bore of solving a mystery every day. Scooby-Doo gave me a great big hug, I love it when he gives me a hug like that. We had to go in the mystery inc van, it always makes me feel sick, I hate it. When we got there I was time for lunch, Scooby-Doo had a great big sandwich, it looked disgusting, I was nearly sick.

When we went to the City Hall a great big pterodactyl flew over us and stole some of the dimonds, which were placed on a stand, it gave me a great shock. i couldn’t believe my eyes.

Now it is late I better get to bed, and who knows what will happen tomorrow. Bye!

27 September 2007

Dear MR diary  me and Teddy have been walking today when we saw a man crying a lement to the whole of England (even though we havent done anything),well…..not yet anyway however he seemed to sooth my ears . I could defently tell that Teddy was Apsolutly hateing every minute of the furious mans voice.Suddenly Teddy sprang out of my hands like a rocket at top speed and i jumped and fell to the ground and i still have a nasty bruse from the shock. Unexspectidly Teddy pulled out a gun and shot the man and with a bang he fell to the ground although its was with a TT W water pistol. After the trick what i did’nt pull we legged it!!!Because the cops had already delt with us before in the past way back in 2001 for Teddys notorius shoplifting plan. I better be off there still looking for us!!!!!!!!.AMOS pol Rovira Wilde

The Diaries of Wimpy Bond

September 28th, 2007 · Comments Off

Thursday 27th September

It all started today when I was at work (the Co-op). There was this one man who came strolling in like he was King of the World. When I went up to him to see if he wanted any assistance, the first thing he could say was thatI looked like a pig ugly woman who who strolled around as if was the best in the world. The CHEEK! For starters I’m a MAN! Second of all I don’t stroll and if I did (which I don’t) then at least I don’t think the sun shineds out of my behind. It was a right storm in a teacup. I’m sure it will blow over.

The next day, I went back to work and there was a blooming thug with a gun. I had to get that annoying thug with my water pistol. The feeling was really cool! The thrill! I had to get the water pistol from under the counter then I squirted it into his eyes. The nuisance shook around like a madman! Eventually the cops came and arrested the maniac. Anyway night, night; my mummy’s tucking me in.

Night diary.

The diary of Mr. Bean

September 28th, 2007 · Comments Off

Wednesday 22nd December

Dear Diary

I thought I was booked in for a boring day, but how wrong I was!I woke up this morning with a thump as Nosey,my lovable pet dog, pushed me out of bed.I love Nosey; just not in mornings! After a weary walk down stairs, I asked for a maid to bring me some popperracks and teddy his normal helping of bullets.Iv`e had teddy for ages now and should be thinking of getting rid of him, but he come`s in handy for shoooting off guards with his machine gun!Any way, just as I was going to tuck in, I got a phone call from M.M is my boss, and I hate her for it! But then work is work, so i set off in the beanmobile to work.

I arriaved at my glamourous workplace after a mere 12 minuite ride in the Beanmobile, after all it is jet powerd, and dashed up stairs to meet M and my best mate for 12 years, James. James is the best 00 there is, and im the second, so its important I maintain a good relationship with him, and he keeps a good one with me.So really, our freindship is a survival teqnuqe, and one it is!Any way, as we walked over to the lift which was to take us to an amazing gadget departmenmt, M told us we where been orded to Austria to infletrate Rafiel Drakes castle.Me and James love misssions, but in truth we are very nevous.

Got to go now diary, the planes setting off.

The diary of Batman

Thursday 27th September

You’ll never guess what happened today? This stupid, fat, ugly man moved in next door. “Hello” he said in a realy annoying voice. He said something about appliying for a job at the co-op ,but I was apliying for that job too I know…I’ll kill him! But how can I do this?

After hours of thought I decided on a plan. I would have to go to the shop ,and buy a chainsaw. Then I will go next door and finaly kill him. Unfortunatly my plan did not go well at all. I went next door, and mysteriously the music was playing but nobody was in. However ,suddenly this figure kicked me in the face! Therefore I ran for my life!

I need to think of a new plan, something not involving getting hurt.

The diary of M C Cinderella

September 28th, 2007 · Comments Off

13 July

I couldn’t't believe my ears this morning. My rubbish Fairy Godmother made me go to work! Even worse at the old peoples home. Now this is the god bit: I told them how to rap as-well as break dancing. By the end of the day, they were old aged rappers. You should of seen them - they were great! Maby I should become M C Ella and the old aged rappers?

Now i’m the kinda person that doesn’t like to admit they’re mistakes but just for you i will. Tonight’s concert was awful as the old aged rappers (who mostly had that illness that makes you forget…which ive forgoten what its called)  forgot they’re dance routine. I was so embarrassed! They were really awful, and what made this much much wost is that most of my loyal fans aren’t my fans any more! I think ill get rid of that Fairy Godmother once and for all, well she is the one that started this.

talk to you tomorrow M C Ella

I can’t belive that Goldilocks dosen’t like me! It’s all because she found out that I’m a spy and we had this enormous arrgument. I hate her!

You’ll never guess what happened at lunch? I’ll tell you! Me and Goldilocks are friends now and i’m going to her house for tea later (i hope its yummy!) I cant belive that Mr Naff has been killing people and stealing there money! I’m going to have to have words with his mother, im sure that she will give him a firm beating like he did to all those poor, innocent people. I’v got to go now-bye!!!
