IThis week is healthy week! So far this week Y4K have been at the sports centre to do ball skills relays, we have been at the tennis courts plus we’ve tasted and reviewed lots of different unusual fruits. Yesterday year 4 all rotated classes for 45mins each session to do science activities with different teachers; Miss Sheehan did about the human body, Miss Willats let us use lots of different science computer programs and Miss Bower did about healthy teeth. It was great!
Can’t wait to find out what we’re doing tomorrow!

Recently we had healthy week. During healthy week we had things such as: skipping workshop, lets go kids, fruit tasting and basket ball. The first thing we had was skipping workshop ,which was run by George. He taught everyone loads of good tricks at first he started with basic foward and backward skips. At the end of the day he picked people who were really good at diffrent skips to put on a skipping show with him. During the week we did fruit tasting. There was about fifteen diffrent fruits that were layed out on tables for you to walk past and taste after tasting the fruit we could pick our five favourite food and make a fruit cocktail. After fruit tasting we had to get our kits on ready for basketball . The man who ran basket was called paul he did a warm up with us then we just shooted baskets . On the last day we did Lets Go Kids we did activites including the parachute. There was a cheerleader who did a dance performance.

A few weeks ago it was Healthy Week. During Healthy Week we did fruit tasting, skipping workshop, hockey and athletics. For fruit tasting we had to taste every fruit on the table and then make a fruit kebab. On Monday the skipping workshop man came in and showed us loads of skipping moves. For hockey another man came in and showed us some hockey tricks .

Sports day was meant to happen on Friday the 15th of June 2007. But it is cancelled till the 17th July 2007. It was cancelled because of the really bad weather which caused lots of roads and houses around Sheffield to flood! It would of been dangerous to have hade sports day because the grass was wet so we would slip and get drenched!

On the 21st-25th May our school will have our yearly Healthy Week. Our favourite part from last year’s Healthy week was making fruit kebabs. You can have any healthy fruit in your kebab like strawberries, bananas, apple , water melon, melon and loads more. When you have finished you can take them home. You also do loads of healthy sports like hockey, cricket, skipping and loads more!

On the 21st of May Stocksbridge Junior School will be holding their annual heathly week. There will be sports coaches coming in to teach us fun sports such as: tennis, basketball, skipping and much much more. There will hopefully be a karate display too. They are amazing; Healthy Week wouldn’t be the same without them!
I’m really looking forward to it!!
During our Healthy Week when we were in Year 3 , one class did an experiment to see what sugar does to our teeth.

This shows that to many fizzy drinks can damage your teeth.
