On Friday 16th of March, the athletics squad went to The Insutute Of Sport to compete in the city final. When we got there, all of the schools , who where competeing , went to sit on the floor. There was a man who introduced a athletics champion. He was invited to compete in the comenwelth games. He raced in a very lond race and he came 1st.
After that, the boys where racing 1st. They all did very well and most of them did extremly well! While they where running, the girls where doing their field events. Megan won on the target through. I was her partner. We both did our best. It turned out fab. After, the girls where racing. They did very good and the boys did well at their field events.
At the end of the competion, we found out where we had come. We came 4th out of 80 schools. When the man read out our school, we all stood up and recived a trophy. It was a great excperience and Miss was pleased. It was good and we all did a great job!!!
In the teachers’ competition Mr H had to throw the javelin. compared to the other teachers we didn’t think he’d do too well. We were very wrong! He made a whooping throw, way past the other javelin’s. Miss W even took an action shot!
