On Tuesday 6th March 2007 y5 went on a trip to Ewden water works, we learned about what germs and bacteria was in the resivior when it has just come in to the works. We had a look around were the water got cleaned, and did lots of activitys on the computers. They told us lots of imfomation about the works and how we could save water. We also looked at some bacteria that were in the water and we found out the names of some of the jerms, the one that makes the water brown is called peat. We looked at some screens and one were showing us were the pipes ran. The different colour pipes were blue for water, yellow for electicty and green for gas.
