After a grueling first two rounds, SJS has brushed aside the competition to progress to the city finals of the Links school sports hall athletics. The first tournament was held in the sports hall at the Stocksbridge high school where the team smashed the opposing teams off and on the track to gain entry to the Links cluster final, which was held at the prestige English Institute of Sport, or EIS. There we met the competition-all the other schools which had progressed through. After a some tight first races at the start, it became apparent that we were in for a tight contest. But we held through, and we lifted the links trophy for the 4th year running. Although the final is still hanging in the balance, we are confident in the team that they will see the competition through. Well Done to Mrs G for coaching them and good luck to the team!
