Stocksbridge Junior School

Near the start of the year, y4 did a class assembly in front of parents. It was about circuits and who invented the electric lightbulb. We sang a song at the end called you’ve got to have a circuit. The first bit went a bit like this you have got to have a circuit that how it goes.

Parents really liked it and there was refresments at the end and hopefully they learned somthing too!

Just four weeks into the season it is war between Mr H and Mr F! With Mr H dropping behind by three places anything could happen. Mr F on Miss D’s tail and the old leaders are having a nightmare they have dropped into fourty-fith postion ha ha ha! Top of tables points are fifty-five, and bottom has one point.   

The newly formed y6 girls football team have recorded their first win at home! The team, managed by y6 teacher Mrs G, smashed the opposition 9-1! One talented centre forward banging in 8 goals while another bagging a single goal. The fantastic new goalie and defence were primed and ready, conceading only one goal!  “A fantastic game all round,” comented the coach.

In other news the y6 athletics team have begun their indoor coaching, having time trials and distances,the fastest times are very impressive although we’re not going to declare them to our rivals! With the indoor athletics approaching fast, the team will really have to work hard.
